NOT a criticism of Flowmate!
Flowmate would have been a runaway success had my spouting been professionally installed.
However, the curved spouting fed a round, too-small downpipe, smaller than Flowmate’s outlet, with a ridge of sealant poorly applied and causing a permanent 5-7 mm puddle.
Also, the spouting was so close to the edge of the corrugated iron, there was no room to get the Flowmate properly installed.

They are great but dont fit under everything. Have a downpipe position that is under the trough of a tile. If it was 10-15mm lower it would fit. So i have one left over

good but only fits on 1 of my downpipes, there are other physical characteristics of down pipes which prevent it from fitting and aren't shown in the advertising. i only bought 1 to try out and i will keep it because it works on 1 down pipe but i wont buy anymore
Hey, it would be great to find out what issues were encountered with the installation into the other downpipes. We do make alterations should it be required to fit any downpipes with anomalies. To date, we rarely encounter installation issues, it would be great to get some feedback so we can take it into account for future and potentially send you out an additional Flowmate with adjustments per your requirement to satisfy your installation needs.

I put 5 of these in around the gutters as we have quite a few trees next to the property. They do what they claim and the water is easily getting though while the leaves aren’t. The best part is once it’s dry all the eaves are around the flow mate and easy to clean out. Great product and does it's job!

I was sceptical about purchasing the flow mate, as I have literally tried everything else on the market, so I thought why not and purchased 2 of them.

My neighbour's trees' constantly block up my gutters and I'm forever outside, in the rain unblocking them BUT not any more!!
I installed the flowmates, about 2 months ago and the water flows freely, even with debris in the gutter. I checked them last weekend, cleaned a small amount out, and put them back it-best thing I've ever bought!!
Well made made and somewhat effective. To be really good requires addaptors to suit common gutter down pipe sizes. Round 75mm, 90mm, etc and rectangular perhaps. Could be ordered and shipped as specified.
First Class and Excellent go together for the flow mate. Its functional & effective. Well done to the inventor and manufacturer.
It was easy to install and must have magic powers as it hasn't rained since putting them in. The wet season starts at the end of the year.
Works great on large opening downpipes with the larger plate.
I need them to be removable, for bushfire, so can not silicone them in. My gutters no longer overflow.
Great product, But I bought from the Aus site believing Aus/NZ spouting sizes would be the same. Mine aren't, so the leaf guards don't perfectly fit over the downpipes. Also the brackets need to be spaced correctly to allow proper fitment. But a great idea and product - just a slip up on my part
