How to Install Flowmate

A simple DIY install that takes minutes

Step 1: Position the Base Plate Over the Downpipe

Attach the base plate to the dropper, then place it over the downpipe opening so it fully covers the outlet. The flexible base plate is designed to sit flush within your gutter — it will naturally conform to the shape of the gutter floor, whether flat or curved.

Step 2: Insert and Lock the Dropper Into the Downpipe

Insert the dropper into the downpipe and push down firmly. The ridges on the dropper grip the inside of the pipe and lock Flowmate securely into position. Don't feel it grip? Not to worry, the inserted weight helps it keep it in place no matter the weather. That's it. Your downpipe is now protected.

Step 3: Ongoing Maintenance

Flowmate prevents debris from entering and blocking your downpipe, but it does not replace regular gutter maintenance. We recommend clearing your gutters once or twice a year depending on your environment. Flowmate makes this easier — debris collects on top of the unit rather than inside the pipe, so cleaning is faster and simpler than ever.

Half-Round Gutters

Flowmate is designed to adapt. The base plate can be shaped to fit half-round gutter profiles in minutes.

PVC Gutters (Marley and Similar)

Flowmate fits perfectly into common PVC gutter systems including Marley. No special tools, no fuss — the install process is identical to standard gutters.

Smaller Downpipes

Flowmate is engineered to fit most standard 90mm and 100mm outlets. If your downpipe is on the smaller end, the base plate can be trimmed along the indentation lines for a precise, secure fit.
